I decided at the beginning of September to make monthly goals for myself regarding my health. I find if I give myself a short term goal where I try it for a few weeks and don't tell myself "never again!, I am more successful.
The first goal - no soda and drink more water! And now that September is almost over, I have done it! One sip of soda that tasted horrible to me when I made the kids root beer floats. It was icky, sweet. Haven't had a drink of it since! It's not like I was a big soda drinker to begin with. Maybe just one every few days. But I noticed I was drinking it more and more for a sugar rush. Not sure what my next goal is for October, but I have a few thoughts in mind!
Dance class! She is loving it :)
Naps are a thing of the past. Except the occasional one in the car :)
And I have been scrapbooking, but mostly Scrapgal assignments. So I won't be able to start posting those until this Saturday (Oct. 1) Also this upcoming weekend though, the Guest Design Team is hosting a crop at Scrapgal. It will be kind of nice to just sit back on this one and participate :) If you are looking for some challenges and a chance to win prizes, Scrapgal is your place to go this weekend!

ReplyDeleteLove the dance photo and the car nap! I love when I catch my kids crashed out in the car!
ReplyDeleteGood for you on the water-I so need to do that!
ReplyDeleteLove the camera phone pics-if your phone has an app store, Instagram is a great FREE phone app. I use it all the time to get filters on my pics. (I use my camera phone a lot these days too.)
Your little girl is adorable! :-) Great job on overcoming your soda addiction. I swear they put crack or something in those bottles/cans. I'm going to check out "Scrapgal". Thanks for sharing!:-)
ReplyDeleteI stopped drinking soda too and was amazed when a while later I had some and didn't even really like it anymore! :) And I agree, your daughter is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY need to stop drinking soda. I'm up to a couple cans a day... =/
ReplyDeleteI miss naps!
ReplyDeleteCute photos! Can't wait to see what you are creating. I try not to drink soda either - I never buy it but I may splurge when I'm out for lunch with the girls. But today I ordered water....it all adds up! Hope you can keep it up!
ReplyDeleteYour girly is too cute!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a pop in almost two years, but it started because of a medicine I'm taking. It was hard at first, but now I don't even miss it! Such cute pictures of your youngest :) Landry, who is four, has outgrown naps too, but I have some pictures of her just like that in the car as well!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for quitting your pop. I am in the process of doing the same thing. I have done it before, I can do it again.....but I am a hard core coca-cola drinker.
ReplyDeleteDon't you wish you could just sleep when ever you are tired :) Such a cutie
I lost a tone of weight once and I got to where I had zero desire for soda. Unfortunately that desire has awakened in me :) My little girl goes to dance too and it just makes her so so happy. I'm so glad for dance class!

ReplyDeletetell me about it. my kids don't nap. EVER. some day they will regret that. LOL.

Mary Jo, I wish I could get into the water habit. I used to be good about it, but have lapsed into Diet Coke and coffee.
