And you will probably see quite a few like it this year.
I usually like to share the books I am reading or getting ready to read.
This is my current "to be read" pile from the library.
All except the top book.
I won that from my friend Tammy's blog. :)
1. Gilt Trip - (Laura Childs) This one is from a scrapbook mystery series that I have been following. Although I may have missed one or two. We'll have to see. I really hate reading series out of order.
2. Ruby Red - (Kerstin Gier) The first book from a young adult trilogy that involves time travel. Looked pretty interesting.
3. Boy Nobody - (Allen Zadoff) Another young adult fiction book that caught my eye while there. I am always on the lookout for books I think might appeal to Evan. This could be one.
4. Sisterland - (Curtis Sittenfeld) This one came highly recommended by my friend Kelly. And I am looking forward to it because it is set in my hometown. I love reading books where St. Louis is the back drop.
5. The Whole Enchilada - (Diane Mott Davidson) Another mystery series I have been following since book one. I love this series and was excited to see her newest on the shelf!
6. 11/22/63 - (Stephen King) This one is getting rave reviews by friends, and I am actually reading his book Joyland right now which is pretty good. I have to say that I am a huge Stephen King fan. I have been reading his books since I was 12. Probably way earlier than I should have been. And some I really loved, others not so much. One of my favorite books by him was a collaboration with Peter Straub - The Talisman. Looking forward to reading this one and his new one Dr. Sleep.
So there you have it!

This post is part of a list-making project called Lists With Friends 2014, an effort to document the year in lists of all types!
looks like awesome books
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh I am going to check that Scrapbook mystery out!!!
ReplyDeleteThe library is indeed a gold mine!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some good reads, will have to look into a couple of them, I'm always on the lookout for new authors to enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteI love when people post reading lists! I have a long "to read " list already, but I will be adding these!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! A scrapbook mystery series! That will have to go on my to read list!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! And I just googled it to add to my list and it seems like they are all in Louisiana/New Orleans! YAY! Seriously, you have no idea how much finding these books just made my day :)
ReplyDeleteStephen King is such a prolific writer! I have not seen this one yet, must keep my eyes open for it and I do love a good mystery. I love Donna Leon books as they are all set in Venice and I re-read them over and over just to get the feel of that beautiful city. I am intrigued now about the scrapbook mystery series now...... Enjoy your reading. Anne x
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check these out. Always on the lookout for books for my book club.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at reading. These sound great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good list! I've been wanting to start reading Laura Childs's books. She is from the Twin Cities! Do you think it's necessary to read the series in order, or could I start anywhere?
ReplyDeleteIn my honest opinion, I would start at the beginning if you can. Then you get all the back stories. But there is enough info shared in each book so you are not totally lost. I just prefer to read a series in order. Although I didn't with the JD Robb murder mysteries and occasionally wish I had.
DeleteHappy reading! Those all look interesting
ReplyDeleteHave you read the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. They were so good.
ReplyDeleteIt is actually on my list. I have it to a friend for her birthday and she is going to let me borrow it when she is done :)
DeleteI'm adding Sisterland to my list!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Postcards from the Dead right now, the book preceding Guilt Trip. Somehow I figured out I had missed one! I hate reading out of order too :) I love Diane Mott Davidson's series and didn't know she had a new one out! So excited about that!
