But at the same time I am happy to say that summer didn't go by too fast :)
A new month also means a new kit at Scrapbooking From the Inside Out. And today I am going to share one of the layouts I made with the Innocence kit :)
"Baby, slow down. The end is not as fun as the start. Please stay a child, somewhere in your heart."
And along with this song, a letter to my girl telling her to just enjoy being a kid and not try to grow up too fast :)
Included in the kit are DIY Thickers and WOW! glitter in silver by American Crafts which I actually used for this layout. But I experimented a bit with chalks and the Thickers on two of my other layouts.
Here is a photo of the kit in it's entirety. Isn't it pretty :)
If you go to the kit inspiration page here, you will find a slide show of the design team layouts, link to the Pinterest board, music playlist, and lots of great quotes. The journaling prompts and challenges will be coming soon!
And in the next few weeks, I will share the rest of my layouts with more in depth details.
On another note, I realized that I scraplifted myself just a little for this layout.
I used a similar design on this layout...
and this one! I am liking the vertical design across the page with photos, title, pattern paper strips and journaling. In fact, I think it is a favorite ;)
Do you ever scraplift yourself?
Beautiful page, Mary Jo! I love the row of butterflies with your journaling. The way you mixed the stickers into the lyrics looks awesome. I am totally with you on the growing up too fast. I may have to use these lyrics on a page too. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous layout! I think all three may be similar, but they are all unique, too! All of them are just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love that design across the page...very eye catching. The colors and the smaller strips of pattern paper...just gorgeous! As is that photo! Very special LO! I tried to get on scrapping from inside out on iPad, but I get a big white screen in front of everything. By the time I get to computer, I forget or get sidetracked! Typical of me.
ReplyDeletePatricia - I have the same trouble getting on with the iPad. Not sure why that is. I have to check in with the computer or phone!
DeleteGreat page and such a lovely photo! I scraplift myself quite often, also. Sometimes it is the best way to get my mojo flowing.
ReplyDeletegorgeous LO! love the strips of pp and the row of butterflies! the soft colors are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the design! And your layouts are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Great work! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe its September either! Where is this year going too?
ReplyDeleteI love your layouts and the big titles your using, too cute!
e.
These layouts are great.
ReplyDeleteI would not have noticed that these were lifted from past layouts, they are great.
I don't scraplift from myself, as I am not that good, lol.
All of your Lo's are so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLove the designs and yes I scraplift myself once in awhile!
Love the U2 song!! What a fun way to use a title!
love all of your pages! If repeating the same things over and over means scraplifting myself, then -yes! I do it all the time! LOL
ReplyDeletevery nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look now and see whether I do scraplift myself....probably as there are certain places I like to put photos...and stuff like that. Gorgeous pages as always, glad you had a good summer break :)
ReplyDeleteLovely page! I used song lyrics on mine today too! Great minds..... :) I do scraplift myself -- why recreate the wheel all the time????
ReplyDeleteWhen it works, go with it!
I love these pages! The vertical design is great - I may need to scraplift that soon :)
ReplyDeleteI scraplift myself a lot. I used to get upset that I was always doing similar things, but then I realized it means there is a cohesive style there. Now I love scraplifting my old layouts!
BEautiful page! That is a great photo of you two, and your heartfelt journaling will be a treasure to your kids.
ReplyDeleteI think we probably scraplift ourselves more often than intended when applying our favorite design techniques. And why not?!
Beautiful layouts. I love the black and white photo with those papers.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty papers on this layout, love it! If you find a layout you like, stick with it, right? :) I scraplift, or cardlift, myself all the time!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous lyrics to build a page on - and the included letter to your daughter - what a special page! The design is beautiful! I'm not sure if I scraplift myself, lol. If I'm not, I need to start!
ReplyDeleteI love all three pages! So sweet. Love the patterned papers across the pages.
ReplyDeleteI do scraplift myself on occasion, probably because I have some favorite sketches that I use over and over.
