I seem to be linking up with Julia's blog What's on Your Workspace Wednesday at every other Wednesday :)
This past weekend, I gave my scrap space a thorough cleaning. It feels good to have a nice, clean and organized space to create in again!
So this week I thought I would give you a few more shots of my space instead of the same counter space where my work mat lays.
My work space is a renovated sun porch off one of the bedrooms. So there are windows on three walls. This is the east wall where my paper trimmer sits.
This is the usual shot you see, but nice and clean, right?
Here is my north facing wall. This counter space is usually piled with projects.
And the west side counter is where my computer and printer sit. I love having those windows facing west because I have seen some spectacular sunsets :)
So like I said, everything is nice and clean. Or it was :)
I just finished a layout that if you have made it this far, I would like to share with you.
I have a post up on the Craft Your Nest blog today about this layout with a challenge. It is actually based on a sketch I saw on the October Afternoon blog.
Ha! And I just noticed that the dot is missing from my "i" in this photo. I better find another one to stick on there.
Also, Dawn is looking for another Chickadee or two for the design team over there. It is a great design team to be on. Only one blog post per week with inspiration or a challenge. So very low maintenance, but fun :)
As for summer so far, we have been taking it easy but still getting things done! I am actually feeling pretty on top of my game right now. Crossing lots of things off my to do lists, but still spending time with the kids. And actually had two extra little ones today babysitting for friends. But I am finding that having Evan home is actually helping a lot :)
Have a great Wednesday!
You have such a fun space. I love all of the windows. Creating with all that natural light makes such a difference. :) Love your layout and the pretty papers. Grids get me every time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice, open, airy, well-lit space, Mary Jo! You look like you're a neat scrapper so you can come scrap with me any time. :) Love the grid design on your layout and the trio of butterflies around the page. Nice, clean, fresh design!

that is a lovely workspace with lots of sunlight.
ReplyDeletei cannot believe you are ever really messy.
(lol) I swear I can be :)
DeleteI just have to clean after creating or it drives me nuts!
You have the most awesome workspace! Love those windows and your view of the trees! I have a set of corner windows over my kitchen sink and find myself ALWAYS looking out at the world going by (it also overlooks the intersection of two streets). I'm afraid if I had such a view by my scrap space that I'd get little done. lol
ReplyDeleteOh to have a craft room with a window never mind three - what a fantastic room you have - so much natural light. Now I am green with envy at yur beautiful room.

Thanks for the tour of your whole workspace. I am jealous enough to spit (but ladylike enough not too-don't laugh) at your space. It is so soothing and I LOVE windows and the view! And so tidy! I love things stacked neatly in boxes, bins, and baskets. It it so homey in my mind. Alas, Arizona sun will eat you and everything you own alive, so it is best I don't craft next to a window. And of course, no beautiful greenery to see and no second floor! Okay, I might have to spit after all. Love the layout. It is soothing too and makes me think of nature with those pretty colors. I didn't notice the lack of a dot over the i, but I rarely write them in myself.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love your workspace - it's so clean and cool and elegant -everything that I'm not!!LOL
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed the past week both Jubilee and WOYWW wise - what a warm feeling they have both engendered :)
Hugs, LLJ '70 xx

Looks like a fun sketch!
Glad you are getting a lot of things done on the to do list!!
I know what that is lately!! I just wish it could be more for me and not the house! LOL!
I just love your space!
ReplyDeleteThanks for cheering for my Kings. My husband works with a Blues fan and he's been messing with me since we swept. I make cupcakes after every win and I make him a special one. I'm waiting until the Kings win and then he's getting an extra special one. ;)
Your room is lovely and bright, such a great place to create. Love the layout.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, in the warm.

ReplyDeleteI would love to have your scraproom!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat layout and challenge at Craft Your Nest!!
No doubt, your renovated verandah is one of the nicest spaces - I'm jealous and loving the tidiness...and even the glass lamp shades caught my eye today. The only thing I don't want is the post its - terrified that something important will be lost that way...I insist on a large book in which all notes and messages must be writ!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great space! I especially love your views as my space has no windows. Super cute layout too!
