Last week I came across a great post with a layout on Patricia's blog, using this sketch
by Diana Fisher. In fact, I discovered that Diana has a whole section of great sketches she created for Sketchy Thursdays archived on her blog here!
As for this sketch, I was definitely inspired to try it. Love it's simple design. :)
And here is my take using the Echo Park Everyday Eclectic line.
Definitely kept it simple :)
And I am definitely going to have to try more of Diana's great sketches!
I will be picking a winner from my last post later today after the kids are home from school. Just didn't have time last night! But I am going to go ahead and enter everyone who posted by 9pm :)
Thanks! And have a good weekend :)
I loveeeeeeee your lo! LOVING that photo, the paper strips and loveeeeeeeeee the little camera!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the sketch, Mary Jo! Awesome title work with the mixed fonts and camera tucked in there and around the journaling. I hope you share this with Diana. She'd be thrilled to know you enjoyed her sketch. :)

ReplyDeleteThe B&W photo was a great idea with the contrast of the DP strips.
You can probably guess from the lack of commenting and my glaring lack of posts, that I am struggling a bit:( I had a bit of an accident and jarred my back...my medication got increased and it already made me so sleepy so now I am like Rip Van Winkle! I fall asleep at various times during the day and get nothing done on the 2 days a week following the "walk the grandkids to school days":(
I don't like to always post complaining so haven't said too much on blog...just hints.
All of this has thrown my thyroid numbers off again so that med got tweaked too...that med makes me even more sleepy and lack of energy.
My key to unlock just isn't working so far this month...teehee
I do feel a little better this week...so hope to actually make some cards this weekend.
Thank you for asking about my health! You get the whining, long version! teehee
