WOYWW 176

So today is Wednesday. And for me that means two things.
What's on Your Workspace Wednesday and Craft Your Nest day.
I have to say though that Wednesdays have become super busy for me in many areas.
So for now, this is my last *official* Workspace Wednesday.
I love, love WOYWW, but it takes a long time to go through the blogs. And most days, I can only make it to about thirty at the most. Which I am sure is fine, but lately with volunteering at school I just don't have time.

So I am thinking that I don't want to stop completely. But I am not going to link up to Julia's blog for awhile. Instead I am just going to try and pop in to visit a few of my regular WOYWW friends. But you won't see a number by my name. Just me coming to visit you on the occasional Wednesday. I am familiar with so many names on Julia's list now, that I definitely want to keep up with what is going on :)

And now for my workspace...
A little messier than usual. I just finished working on a two page winter layout and this is most of the product that I used. Well except for the blue car. That belongs to the kids, and I am not quite sure when it was put there. I am also noticing an unusually large amount of adhesives laying around as well. But I had fun with the layout. Photos from an ice storm that hit in 2006. It will either be featured in the next issue of Crafting Ireland magazine or on their blog. Not sure which yet, but I will be sure to let you know.

And as for Craft Your Nest blog, I have a post up today here. I am talking a little bit about working with foam alphabet letters. This set actually...
and I have a tiny tutorial on how to change them up just a bit.

That is all for now. And I will try and get by to visit as many blogs as I possibly can today. As always, I will come leave you a comment if you leave one here :) Have a great Wednesday!

  4. Ah, WOYWW is so fun but I can't participate every Wednesday either. And I'm feeling good when I hit 15 desks plus the few extra that find me first. You lots of fun things out today! Hope you find some crafting time in between all the other stuff! :)

  5. I like how you are making WOYWW work for you and your schedule. I don't do it any more because it is a big commitment, but I still like seeing what is on people's work spaces!

  13. I can't wait to see your ice storm layout! That sounds fun!

I stopped linking up for the same reason, I couldn't get to as many desks as I liked after I started teaching again! But now I get to work at 6:15am because AJ drives me on his way to work, so I need something to do then!

  18. totally understand Mary but reckon you will get withdrawal symptoms . i have learnt not to panic if i dont visit lots of blogs and just visit those with the same number/s as me and anyone who comments and sometimes spread it over the week as i work full time otherwise it takes the fun out of it
will miss your tree house and try and pop in
    have a fab woyww

  20. I do my best, but most weeks I can only manage 40 visits or so. I say just do what you can when you can. I am off to check out your other post because those letters are some of my favorite ones. I have three sets of them in black and white. Dani#132

  21. Hi Mary Jo life just gets in the way of us crafting or sharing our crafting products it? I try and get around every week but very rarely get around many. I always have great intentions but it never works.
Thanks for sharing your desk today I'd love to see your finished LO.
    Hugs Erika.

  24. The blue car would have made a rather lumpy page! Sorry to hear you're pressed for time lately, hope you still get to do most of what you want to.

  27. the little blue car doen't look out of place at all, we all have strange things on our desks. It is a shame you are not going to post for a while. If you are visiting surely you should post as well, we all like to see your desk too, dont feel you have to visit everyone, we all understand, just do what you can. 28. A confession. My dream "car" is an old 1950s turquoise green truck. I wanted to have one by my 50th year. Well, that didn't happen exactly as planned. I went out and bought myself a toy one that's perfect - except I can't get in it and drive it around town. So, the blue car looks just fine on your desk. Whew.

I kind of know what you mean about visiting desks. I do my best to try to visit everyone and there for a while I totally stressed over it. I don't any longer. I definitely visit those that visit me and then those that end in the same number. After that I allow myself to visit as many others as I have time for. Maybe pop in and link up every once in a while.......

Thank you for visiting me already!!!!

    Happy WOYWW

  29. I understand the time thing but I will miss seeing your gorgeous treehouse room. It's nice to see that you can make a mess, even a little one. Your desk is always so neat.
    Have a great week.

  30. Life just has to get in the way and it is not fair either, these things are sent to try us. I love your treehouse and so want to play in it, maybe some day. I thought for a minute that the car was on the page so you could use the tires on a stamp pad and run them across the page, I have done it don't laugh.... it does look good. Alternative stamping I call it. Anyway thanks for sharing, please pop in and I will try and do the same.

  31. I understand about the busyness, Mary Jo, and think you are being very considerate to hold off on your postings when you can't visit. We'll be waiting for things to even out in your universe so you can post again. I love seeing your treehouse and what you've got going on, so I'll be dropping by!

Thanks for coming by to visit me earlier; I hope you have a wonderful week! Darnell (#35)

  32. Hello!

I love the little blue car sitting right in the middle! I saw the tutorial on letters when I went to your other blogs - I will go back now and see what it is all about! Wishing you a sunshine day!

  33. Yep WOYWW does take up a lot of time but it's hard to let it go!! Perhaps put a WOYWW post on once in a while so we can visit you in the treehouse. You weren't kidding about the adhesives were you!! Will look out for your LO post and I'm off to see your older posts too! <--- If I could just stick to the WOYWW posts I'd get around a heck of a lot quicker!!

    Hugs

  38. I know what you mean about busy Wednesdays, sometimes it takes an age to get round as many desks as I would like and bang goes another afternoon. I can't always join in but I do check a few of the desks each week - may not always leave a comment though.
Am now following so that even if you don't get to post on WOYWW I can still catch up with your desk.
Thanks for visiting yesterday -always appreciated.

  39. Oh yeah, Wednesdays are madness, and we'll miss you, but life has to be flexible for sure. And for me the best thing about your participation is that you've made contacts that you'll keep up whether its on a Wednesday or not.
