It's Wednesday, and this is my second week to participate in Julia's What's on Your Workspace Wednesday :) I had lots of fun last week, checking out a few of the other blog posts and seeing work spaces from all over. Chatted with some really, really nice women! So I am joining in again this week.
I am back to working on my mother-in-law's Ireland trip album. So lot's of product for it scattered around :)
If you are new to my blog and want to know more about what I am talking about, I have a post here with the title page and here with a few more completed pages.
I had to take a little break because I find working straight through on one project to be a little overwhelming at times. I just can't wait to give her the finished book though :)
For the Family
Evan is entering a Lego City vehicle challenge and this is his creation. Built from scratch. He took the photo, too :)

ReplyDeleteHey Mary Jo! I hear you about working on one project for so long esp. an album. Good luck with finishing it - she'll be thrilled!

ReplyDeleteGo, Evan!! That's an awesome model - and I should know, my two lads have spent their lives creating with Lego!! Fingers crossed for the competition.
ReplyDeleteAnd I ADORE that Celtic border. I love knotwork of all sorts, have got many celtic pattern books in fact - once, I knitted my husband a jumper with a very similar pattern to yours around the chest. That was when I was younger and stupid :)
Hugs, LLJ #7 xx
Such a cool work space! You will be so happy when the album is finished (and so will your mom). What a nice gift!
ReplyDeleteCompletely understand what you mean about being overwhelmed working on one project all the way through, but it feels so good when you're done!!
ReplyDeleteLove Evans creation and nice picture taking skills too!!!
Another visit to your lovely crafting space. The layouts seem to be coming along nicely. I agree that you can't spend too much time on one project otherwise you go bonkers. Great Lego creation too.
ReplyDeleteHousehold shrub scrapbooking is just as the words say - you make your close relatives shrub, but as a scrapbook.

I quite often swap from one project to another to keep it fresh and it helps to produce new ideas as well. Love the lego model, my younger Grandson, when asked what he would like for Christmas replied ' real Lego' meaning basic bricks and bits and not the themed one piece boxes they sell so much of now.

I agree sometimes working on one L O N G Project is overwhelming and we need a break.
ReplyDeleteYour son's Lego vehicle is awesome.
It looks like you've got the perfect embellishments for her Ireland trip - that knot border is really nice. And he made that from scratch!? Wow, I think he's close in age to my son maybe? Anyhow, that's great work!
ReplyDeleteIm the same..can do the same thing for a while, but need to break off, the intensity saps my mojo! Like the border you found - very fitting...I'm excited for you to give her the album too - I predict tears!
